Columbine Consulting Services, LLC is
multi-faceted conservation company providing conservation easement
assistance, baseline inventory preparation, conservation easement
monitoring, and natural habitat evaluation and planning to land
conservation organizations and individuals.
We are able to assist land trusts and
other conservation easement holding entities by providing baseline
inventories, which satisfy the requirements of the IRS and funding
organizations for conservation easements. We have completed baseline
inventories for Colorado Open Lands, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation,
Colorado Cattleman's Agricultural Land Trust, and
the San Isabel Land Protection Trust.
Conservation easement monitoring
services provided by Columbine Consulting Services, LLC are designed to
satisfy the legal requirements of the easement and to insure the
protection of the easement over time. IRS regulation 1.170-A-14(c)(1)
requires an annual inspection on each easement to assess the valuation
of the easement. Many small land trusts with limited manpower resources
find it difficult to handle the complexities of regular monitoring
either through time constraints or lack of training. The conservation
easement monitoring services provided by the company insure consistent and
accurate reports which are essential to the land trust's
responsibilities.
For the private landowner, Columbine
Conservation Consultants can assist with the conservation easement
process and produce natural habitat evaluations that can
provide a basis for enhancement and restoration of native habitats.
